We just celebrated Liam's 8th birthday. My sweet little baby is 8 years old, I still can't believe it.
It seems like just yesterday it was the three of us, building our little world together. Now we are a busy family of 5 and Liam is the big brother to 2 little boys. He is a loving, thoughtful, protective big brother and I am so proud of him.
Sometimes, I wish time could stand still.
Unfortunately, I don't have that power, so instead, we celebrate. We celebrate this little boy who is growing so fast, who makes us smile everyday, who fills our heart with love and pride.
Bring. it. on.
Bring on the Nerf Battle. Bring on the pack of wild, crazy boys, the birthday cake, the camo face paint.
Bring on the kids that take it a little too
seriously, straight out of Rambo.

I've never seen these kids have so much fun together. Some took their "role" a little more seriously than others and had us laughing all day long.
We capped the day off with some bubbles by moonlight, courtesy of the neighbors. Mellow Mushroom pizza thanks to Uncle Z, and kids that fell asleep in record time. I'm talking seconds.
Thanks to everyone who shared this day with us, it wouldn't have been the same without you. and thanks for the Nerf idea Kyle!!!

I love all the nerf battle pictures! Those boys are hard core!!! They looked like they had so much fun and the weather looks gorgeous. The "girls" are a hoot and are a bundle of personalities in these pictures! We can't wait to get back east and be a part of all the fun again soon.

Thanks to Kyle for such a great idea...couldn't have asked for a better party for these guys. Watching their maneuvers in capturing each others flag was hilarious! The weather was perfect, we've had some great luck for his parties (knock on wood, don't wanna jinx it!). There are a lot more pictures, I will eventually send some more out to you.
