Chuckles

Today, my little man laughed for the first time.
A sound I look forward to hearing
many times in his lifetime.
What a sweet, sweet little chuckle!!!

I love you, Gavin Lee!

So, in my world, the term, "one project at a time" is non-existent. Cause even though the nursery is not finished, the boy's room isn't finished, and several other organizational projects I planned but haven't finished gotten to yet, it only makes sense to start on my bedroom, right? Uh huh. yeah.

Well, you know the $10 headboard
It turned into a whole new master bedroom. In deciding what color to paint it, I ended up with a whole new color scheme...which turned into new paint for the walls, and new bedding, and new furniture, and lamps, and on and on.
It's the room that I NEVER get to.
It should be a priority but it always
gets put on the back burner.
That says a lot about our priorities, huh?
Shame, shame, shame on us
(hangs head low).

When people come to my house, that door is shut tight and I guard it with my life!
You'll have to get through
me to get in there.
Huh Uh, no way!
You do NOT want to go in there!!!

So I'm going to go at this with
two things in mind...
1) to finally make the room a
retreat for Joey and me.
One that I'm not totally mortified by.

2) to do it around $200 - at the most.
(not including a rug that I'll add later.)

No more dumping "extra" furniture we have no home for. No more piles of folded laundry on the dresser because neither of us want to squeeze it in our overcrowded, microscopic closet. No more endless piles of paperwork that need to be organized and put away.
I'm sooooo DONE with all that.
(that's where you come in, Jennifer)

Here's a peak at what I'm planning...

Very different color scheme and much more bold than what I'm used to but
I can't wait to get started.
I'll post pics when I make some progress.

In the meantime, here's some new pillows I got at World Market for the living room. I think they're much prettier in person.

and some flowers courtesy of Publix, Lol!

Worth every bit of the $4 I spent on them =)

  2. Thanks girl! The blue in the fabric is a little less blue than the picture shows, MUCH better in person. Eventually, I'll get to more projects that I'll post and tell where I got them and how much they cost. Can't wait to hit the Atlanta stores, I'll plan a trip soon, VERY soon! Can't wait!
